Gordon East Public School Movie Night 2011

 

For many years Michelle Placks, Principal, CENTURY 21 Cordeau Marshall GROUP has been an avid supporter of fundraising efforts at Gordon East Public School.

 

On a cool May night recently, hundreds of school pupils, parents, teachers and other community members gathered outdoors for a special screening of the hit movie Toy Story 3.

This was the 3rd year the event has been held and for the first time the school hired a huge inflatable screen. 7.5m x 3.5m !!

 

The screen was located on the school basketball court and everyone was rugged up with chairs and hot drinks and settled back to enjoy the movie which could not have been possible without the financial support of CENTURY 21 Cordeau Marshall.

Pre ordered pizzas fed the spectators during the night.

 

A few thousand dollars was raised which will go towards the school's 'wish list' of things needed to be done at the school.

The over 300 spectators at the event this year voted this the Best Movie Night ever!!

 

Michelle also sponsors pupil awards at the school as part of her ongoing support.
