Craig Marshall, principal of Century 21 Cordeau Marshall Group has been supporting the youth of Ku-ring-gai for many years and he has continued this with his work for KYDS, acting as live auctioneer for their annual fundraising dinner.
Through his efforts and the generosity of the 250 in attendance Craig managed to secure more than $15,000 from the auction....a record for KYDS.
Around $30,000 was raised in total for the evening.
In a message from the KYDS Manager, David Citer...
Hi Craig,
Wow!
Thank you! You are in the wrong job, have you thought about a career in stand-up comedy?
A really polished performance and you turned a normally dull auction into the main event of the night!
It was spectacular and we raised more than $15,000 in the live auction, which is a record for KYDS!
People were inspired by the creativity and humour in your auction!
About KYDS
The Ku-ring-gai Youth Development Service (KYDS) provides free and confidential counselling on an individual basis for 12 to 18 years old young people living on Sydney’s North Shore. We also provide free counselling and support for parents as well as family counselling, where the young person and their counsellor feel this to be appropriate. KYDS counsellors use an array of client centred and evidence based approaches such as Solution Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy.
KYDS History
KYDS began its history more than ten years ago when a need for counselling services for adolescents and their families was identified by members of the Rotary Club of Lindfield.
After a lot of effort by many people from Rotary, Ku-ring-gai Council and the community, a site was set up and the practice of counselling commenced in March 2005 - well before the Service was officially opened as the need was so great.
KYDS Vision
To improve the health and well being of young people on Sydney's North Shore.
KYDS Mission
To provide professional and accessible counselling services, youth development and education to promote positive change for young people and their families.
